Legal information
Cookie policy
Effective from 24 September 2026 until revoked. For the thaimasszazs-zalakaros.hu website. This translation is provided for information; in case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.
The purpose of this policy is to give visitors to the thaimasszazs-zalakaros.hu website (hereinafter: Website) transparent and clear information about which cookies and other data stored in the browser the Website uses, what they are used for, and how visitors can control them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to the visitor's browser and that is stored on the visitor's computer or mobile phone. Cookies help ensure that a website runs smoothly, improve the user experience and collect statistical data on how the site is used. Cookies on their own cannot identify a person; they only recognise the device used for browsing.
By lifetime, cookies can be:
- Session cookies: they remain on the device only until the visitor closes the browser, after which they are deleted automatically.
- Persistent cookies: they remain on the device after the browser is closed, for a set period or until the visitor deletes them manually.
The browser's local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way: data stored there remains on the device, but the browser does not send it to the server automatically.
2. Which cookies does thaimasszazs-zalakaros.hu use?
The Website does not set any cookies of its own. As third parties, only Google Analytics (visitor statistics) and the Google Map embedded on the Contact page may set cookies or transmit data – and both only with the visitor's consent. No other external services (e.g. social media, advertising systems, external fonts) are loaded: the Website's fonts, images and video are served from its own server.
2.1. Strictly necessary storage
The Website places a single entry in the browser's local storage that remembers whether the visitor accepted or declined cookies. Without it, the cookie banner would reappear on every page load.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent (local storage) | thaimasszazs-zalakaros.hu | Remembering the cookie choice (accept or decline) | Until browser data is cleared |
- Legal basis
- The Controller's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), no consent is required for storage that is strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the visitor.
- Consent
- Not required; the entry is created when the visitor makes a choice in the cookie banner.
2.2. Statistics / analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
The Website uses Google Analytics to compile visitor statistics. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website: which pages they viewed, how long they stayed and what device they used. The data is pseudonymised and does not identify visitors by name. We do not use any advertising features.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Ireland Limited | Distinguishing visitors (browsers) in the statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Ireland Limited | Keeping the session state | 2 years |
- Legal basis
- The visitor's explicit and voluntary consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Consent
- The cookies are only placed on the visitor's device, and data is only sent to Google, if the visitor chooses “Accept” in the cookie banner. If the visitor declines, the Google Analytics code is not loaded at all.
- Data transfer
- Google may also process the data in the United States; this takes place on the basis of the adequacy decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
2.3. Embedded content cookies (Google Maps)
On the Contact page, a Google Map shows the location of the salon. The map only loads if the visitor has accepted cookies or specifically requests it with the “Show map” button – in the latter case, only for that one view. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receives the visitor's IP address and device and browser data; in doing so, Google acts as an independent controller. The full list of cookies used by Google: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| NID and other Google cookies | Google Ireland Limited | Map functionality, remembering settings, Google's own purposes | Typically 6 months (set by Google) |
- Legal basis
- The visitor's consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Consent
- By accepting in the cookie banner, or by choosing to show the map.
3. Managing, disabling and deleting cookies
A) In the Website's cookie banner
On the first visit to the Website, a cookie banner lets the visitor decide whether to allow the Google Analytics and Google Maps cookies. “Accept” allows both; with “Decline”, Google Analytics is not loaded and the map is only shown on request. The choice can be changed at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the Website; when consent is withdrawn, we delete the Google Analytics cookies and the page reloads.
B) In the browser settings
Most browsers accept cookies by default, but the settings can be changed so that the browser rejects cookies or warns you when a cookie is being stored. Stored cookies and the contents of local storage can be deleted at any time; the cookie banner will then appear again on your next visit.

4. Data protection
The detailed rules on the processing of personal data, the rights of visitors (e.g. access, erasure, objection) and the available legal remedies are set out in the Website's Privacy Policy.
